About Kimberly J Maniscalco

Kimberly J Maniscalco is a New Jersey based artist, face painter, muralist, and co-founder of Boogie Baby Entertainment. Her work background includes computer graphics manager and special education teacher; however, KJM’s present focus is on creating fine art. She is a current member of the New Jersey Art Association (NJAA), the Art Association in Roxbury (AAR), Ringwood Manor Association of the Arts (RMAA) and the New Jersey Urban Sketchers group.

Outside of her computer graphics degree and some high school classes, she is a self-driven learner of the arts. KJM had always enjoyed art and, after her mom’s stroke, art became an outlet and coping mechanism. Simple sketches in a drawing journal were a form of escapism and meditation. Since then, her art has evolved into a developed and symbolic style that tackle deeper thoughts and emotions while exploring, celebrating, or reproaching life.

KJM’s choice in mediums vary but she is currently working with acrylic paint on a collection called "Cloven" exploring humanity’s relationship with nature and our world. Some previous artworks can be seen around her hometown of Pompton Lakes, from murals at Carlough Field to paintings at local shops like Pompton Espresso Bar. Her works have been featured in several group gallery exhibitions and have been honored with awards.
